In Morocco, a digital marketing agency generally charges $149–2,490 / €149–2,490 per month in fees depending on scope, a business website costs $299–1,490 / €299–1,490 and an e-commerce website $1,190–5,990 / €1,190–5,990. On top of these fees comes a completely separate line: the ad budget paid to Meta, TikTok or Google, which starts at around $299 / €299 per month. All amounts in this article exclude tax and are ballpark figures for the Moroccan market; they vary from one agency to another.
Agency fees and ad budget: two different lines
It's the distinction almost no quote explains clearly, and yet it's what decides whether you pay a fair price. These are two expenses, paid to two different recipients:
- The agency's fees — the human work: strategy, design of visuals and videos, copywriting, campaign setup and management, reporting. This money goes to the agency.
- The ad budget — the money that buys the impressions. It goes to Meta, TikTok or Google. It determines how many people see your ads, not the quality of the work delivered.
An agency quoting “$1,490 / €1,490 per month, all-inclusive” makes its quote impossible to compare. You don't know whether you're buying $1,190 / €1,190 of advertising and $299 / €299 of work, or the other way around. Those are two very different services for the same price.
So ask for two numbers, never just one: what the agency costs you, and how much goes to the platform. To benchmark the second, our article on the cost of Facebook and Instagram ads in Morocco gives real costs per click and per lead.
Paying the platform directly requires a business bank card enabled for international payments: your bank can confirm this in a few minutes. It's a one-time formality at the start, and it saves you from depending on a provider for an account that should belong to you.
What billing models do agencies use in Morocco?
Three models coexist. The first suits most businesses, the second a need with a set time frame, and the third deserves a frank discussion before you sign.
The monthly retainer
A fixed amount for a scope written down in black and white: so many active campaigns, so many posts, so many videos, a monthly review. It's the clearest model. Insist that the scope be quantified: “social media support” means nothing, “12 posts and 4 videos per month on two networks” can be verified.
The one-off project
A fixed price for a finished deliverable: a website, a brand identity, a shoot day, a launch campaign. Suited to needs with a clear start and end. Above all, check what happens after delivery: training, included revisions, maintenance, and who owns the source files.
A percentage of media spend
The agency takes a commission on what you spend on advertising, usually 10 to 20%. The model is widespread, and it raises a simple problem: the more you spend, the more the agency earns — even if your sales don't move. Your provider's interest becomes raising your budget, not lowering your cost per customer.
It isn't dishonest in itself, but it calls for a safeguard. If you accept this model, cap the commission at a fixed amount and have the customer acquisition cost (CAC) included in the monthly report: it's the only number that tells you whether the extra spend is achieving anything.
How much does each service cost? The price ranges
Here are the typical ranges in Morocco, excluding tax. A well-structured agency falls within these ranges; well below them, something is outsourced, automated or missing from the scope.
| Service | Range (excl. tax) | What's usually included |
|---|---|---|
| Meta or TikTok ads management, one channel | $149–599 / €149–599 per month | 1 to 2 campaigns, simple visuals, monitoring and reporting |
| Multi-channel ads management with creative | $399–2,490 / €399–2,490 per month | Several platforms, ongoing creative, sales funnel, detailed reporting |
| Social media management, 1 to 2 networks | $199–599 / €199–599 per month | 8 to 16 posts, stories, replies to messages |
| Social media management, 3+ networks | $299–1,490 / €299–1,490 per month | Content calendar, creative, moderation, monitoring |
| Landing page | $199–799 / €199–799 | Single page, form, WhatsApp button, tracking |
| Business website | $299–1,490 / €299–1,490 | 5 to 10 pages, mobile version, basic SEO, training |
| E-commerce site | $1,190–5,990 / €1,190–5,990 | Catalog, payment, delivery, order management |
| SEO | $299–1,490 / €299–1,490 per month | Technical audit, content, Google Business Profile, rank tracking |
| Photo and video content | $79–299 / €79–299 per video | Shooting, editing, subtitles, vertical formats |
| Brand identity | $149–1,990 / €149–1,990 | Logo only, or full brand guidelines |
| Full package | $799–2,490 / €799–2,490 per month | Ads, social media, content and website, one point of contact |
| Ad budget paid to the platform | from $299 / €299 per month | Separate line: never part of the fees |
On top of that come modest recurring costs people often forget to budget for: $10–19 / €10–19 per year for a domain name, $29–149 / €29–149 per year for hosting, and $19–199 / €19–199 per month for maintenance if you sign up for it. The details are in our guide to website design prices in Morocco.
What really drives the price?
For the same service, the gap between two quotes almost always comes down to five factors. These are the questions to ask to understand why one agency costs twice as much as another.
- The volume of creative — it's the biggest cost item, far ahead of setup. Four videos a month and twenty videos a month don't cost the same: that's hours of shooting and editing.
- The number of campaigns and platforms — one Meta campaign takes a few hours a week to manage. Meta, TikTok and Google in parallel, with retargeting, is a part-time job.
- The industry and the competition — real estate, training and aesthetics are hotly contested markets in Morocco: it takes more creative and more testing to stand out.
- Languages — each additional version, whether French, Arabic, Darija or English, multiplies the visuals, the copy and the subtitles.
- The number of cities or locations — three addresses in Casablanca, Rabat and Marrakech mean three targeting setups, three local offers and three Google listings to keep up to date.
So a low quote isn't necessarily a good deal: most of the time, it simply means less creative and less follow-up. Compare scopes before you compare prices.
What minimum budget makes sense?
Below roughly $499–599 / €499–599 per month all-in — ad budget and fees combined — it's hard to get measurable results. That's not a sales rule, it's arithmetic.
With $299 / €299 of monthly ad spend and a cost per lead that generally runs $2–9 / €2–9 on Meta in Morocco, you generate between 30 and 150 leads in the month. That's enough to know whether your offer interests the market. Below that, the algorithm doesn't have enough data to learn, and you won't know whether it's your message, your targeting or your price that's holding you back.
- To test an offer — $299 / €299 in ads and $149–299 / €149–299 in fees, on a single channel, for three months.
- To build steady acquisition — $599–1,190 / €599–1,190 in ads and $399–799 / €399–799 in fees.
- For a growing e-commerce business — over $1,190 / €1,190 in ad spend per month, with creative refreshed every week.
And allow three months before judging: the first is for collecting data, the second for correcting, the third for stabilizing. An agency that promises results from week two is selling you comfort, not method. Our Meta ads in Morocco page explains how this kind of launch is structured.
How to read an agency quote: the questions to ask
A good quote answers six questions without you having to ask them. If it doesn't, ask them in writing and keep the answers.
- Is the ad budget separate from the fees, and who do I pay it to? The answer you want: to Meta, TikTok or Google, directly.
- Whose name will the ad account, pixel, website and domain name be in? Yours, in every case.
- What exactly does the package include, in number of deliverables? Numbers, not intentions.
- Who produces the work, and who will be my point of contact? Check whether creative is done in-house or outsourced.
- How long is the commitment, and how much notice do I need to give to stop? One month's notice is a reasonable request.
- Which metrics will be in the monthly report? Cost per lead, cost per sale, revenue generated — not just views and likes.
And four warning signs should make you slow down:
- A 12-month commitment required up front — a confident provider accepts a short initial period, followed by reasonable notice.
- Accounts opened in the agency's name — you lose your history, your audiences and your pixel the day you leave. It's the most expensive thing to fix.
- Guaranteed results — “300% more sales” or “first position on Google” are not promises anyone can make: nobody controls an algorithm.
- Media budget collected by the agency — without an invoice from the platform in your name, you can't verify what was actually spent.
The fair price is neither the lowest nor the highest: it's the one where you understand every line.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a digital marketing agency in Morocco cost per month?
Expect $149–2,490 / €149–2,490 per month in fees, excluding tax, depending on scope. A single ad channel with simple monitoring runs $149–599 / €149–599; a full package combining ads, social media, content and website goes up to $799–2,490 / €799–2,490. The ad budget paid to Meta or TikTok comes on top of that amount: it's never included in it.
Is the ad budget included in the agency's price?
No, they're two separate expenses. Fees pay for the agency's work; the ad budget is the money paid to Meta, TikTok or Google to run your ads. At ANIMA, you pay it directly to the platform from your own account, with no agency commission. An “all-inclusive” quote that doesn't separate the two can't be compared with another one: ask for the breakdown.
What minimum budget should you plan for to get started?
Around $499–599 / €499–599 per month all-in: $299 / €299 of ad budget and $149–299 / €149–299 in fees on a single channel. With a cost per lead generally in the $2–9 / €2–9 range on Meta in Morocco, that's 30 to 150 leads per month, enough to seriously test an offer. Allow three months before judging the results.
Can the agency keep my ad account or my website?
Nothing stops it if the account was opened in its name, and that's exactly the problem. Require, from the quote stage, that the ad account, pixel, website and domain name be created in your name, with the agency having partner access only. Otherwise you lose your campaign history and your audiences the day you switch providers, and that's the most expensive thing to rebuild.
Why do two agencies give me such different prices?
Because they're not selling the same thing. The gap mainly comes from the volume of creative — four videos a month or twenty — the number of platforms managed, the number of languages and cities covered, and what's produced in-house versus outsourced. Compare scopes deliverable by deliverable before comparing amounts.
Can an agency guarantee results?
No, and a guarantee with numbers attached should set off alarm bells. No agency controls Meta's algorithm or Google's rankings. What an agency can commit to is effort and transparency: a number of deliverables, a posting schedule, a monthly report with your cost per lead and your cost per sale. Those are the metrics you judge by, not a promise.
